The Fingershield Front device was designed and developed by Frank Garvey, Chairman, Fingershield Safety (UK) Ltd, and first went on the market in the UK in 1999. Due to its simplicity of design and its extraordinary durability it soon became the clear market leader. The Fingershield Rear device was added to the product line in 2003.
They have now been been installed in over 8,000 Schools and Child Care Centers in the UK, Ireland and the United States. Thousands of the devices have also been installed in Supermarkets, Fast Food Restaurants, Leisure Centers, Family pubs and private homes.
